O.P.D. was formed from a musical ensemble assembled on the occasion of the 2007 performance of the cabaret The Multigrain Fortune Cake at the Minor Theatre. After the show ended in 2008, the ensemble decided to continue on as a regular band with very irregular to random gigs.
